Masse's production when it counts turning heads heading into NHL

Proverb Masse of Chicoutimi of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey Association appears to have a skill for coming up enormous in the grip.
The most significant of his 13 game-dominating objectives in his two QMJHL seasons came in 2022-23 against Rimouski, the group he once pull for as a young person.
"I experienced childhood in Rimouski and my granddad had season tickets, so he generally got me a ticket and I was there with him," Masse said. "I was truly youthful, so we needed to leave early, however I had loads of fun in those days watching the Maritime."
On Jan. 29, 2023, Masse took a lead pass and skated in on a breakaway prior to storing a shot through the legs of Rimouski goalie Gabriel Robert with 3:52 excess to control Chicoutimi to a 3-2 triumph.
"I think we as a whole play hockey to feel far better in each second and clearly to dominate some matches," the 18-year-old forward said, "and I like to be on the ice when it's an undecided outcome or we're losing by an objective. I need to have an effect. That's what everyone needs, except I'll say I'm very great in those minutes."
He was chosen No. 3 by Chicoutimi in the 2022 QMJHL draft. His dad, Luc Masse, was a previous defenseman who played one season in the QMJHL with Holy person Jean in 1989-90.
"It's a fantasy to play in the 'Q,' without a doubt," Masse said. "My father let me know it wasn't a similar outlook and same game in the 'Q' as it is currently ... it was more physical and there was battling. However, father has assisted me with the psychological piece of the game rather than the abilities part. He's forever been there for me since I began playing hockey when I was 4 years of age."
Maase (6-foot-2, 190 pounds) has been a masterpiece during his two seasons with Chicoutimi. He was named Canadian Hockey Association the latest phenom last season after he had 62 focuses (29 objectives, 33 helps), 20 show of dominance focuses and six game-dominating objectives in 65 standard season matches.
He drove Chicoutimi this season in objectives (36), focuses (75), strategic maneuver focuses (28) and game-dominating objectives (seven) in 67 customary season games and was third in the group with six places (three objectives, three aids) eight QMJHL season finisher games.
"I'd say I can score an objective from a long way off with my shot or while going to the net, however I can make plays for my partners as well," Masse said. "I believe I can play well in my zone too, so I'm a two-way forward."
Masse, champ of the Mike Bossy Prize as the QMJHL's top proficient possibility, is No. 30 on NHL Focal Exploring's last positioning of North American skaters qualified for the 2024 Upper Deck NHL Draft.
"What we like is the ability to score; he's scored wherever he's played," Focal Exploring's Jean-Francois Damphousse said. "He'll have to add a solidarity to his lower body, which will help him genuinely. He's not a puck transporter, a carrier or line driver, yet I think at the powerful he can be a 6-foot-2 body on the wing who can complete around the net. Chicoutimi is a youthful group that was topping brilliantly, and they'll be major areas of strength for truly the following several years.
"In the event that you draft a youngster like Masse, he will be in a decent circumstance for the following two years vieing for titles, scoring objectives. He has a major body, so there's parcel to like."
Masse, who probably will stay a wing at whatever point he arrives at the expert positions, said he appreciates watching Bison Sabers forward Alex Tuch.
